 Dr.
S. A. Roy is a strong exponent of Unani System of positive health care not only
in India but even in other countries including the Middle East, USA and Europe.
He is hailing from a family of traditional
Unani physicians well known since early eighteenth century, he was exposed to
this positive system of health care from his childhood and he has added his own
innovative ways of research and studies to enrich Unani.
In his relentless efforts to promote Unani
system of medicine, he received the prestigious Hakim Ajmal Khan Memorial Global
Award for the "BEST UNANI PHYSICIAN 2006".
This prestigious award has been bestowed on
him from among more than 1000 reputed practitioners from across the world. The
award was presented to him on 27th December 2006 by the Hon’ble Delhi Health
Minister Dr Yoganand Sastri during a ceremony held at the Islamic Cultural
Centre, 88, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi.

A global award for the best Unani Physician
has not come to him by accident. It was a deserving reward for his relentless
efforts in practicing, researching, developing and promoting Unani.
He has started his career from a very young
age practicing with his glorious father and then taken over the rich tradition
after his father’s death.
He completed scientific studies in
Unani at Kolkatha and made the unani system of medicine simple to understand and reachable for people of
all ages and all places through a life committed to Unani.

Pasha - Born and brought up in Unani tradition, Dr. Pasha has gained 30
years of rich
experience in Unani system of medicine.
He has been serving at various centers in
through out India, now he is practicing and researching at Roy Medical Hall

Dr. S A Roy spends more time on research
and development than actually treating patients. He believes that his efforts
today will benefit the whole world tomorrow. No wonder both his daughters and
son are stepping to a career in positive healthcare system.
Though he is based at Calicut he provides
expert consultation as visiting consultant to patients at various centers
operated by his family members in Bangalore, Chennai, Trichy, Madurai etc and
visits various countries, especially the Middle East promoting and providing
consultation in Unani.
He is a man of simplicity, kindness,
nobility and apathy. Thousands of people suffering from various ailments have
found console in his approach, encouragement and care.
The Malayalam website designed and
developed by him, fully dedicated to Unani with a view to make matters clear for
thousands of Keralites across the world including those who are not comfortable
with English, is one of its kind. It shows his passion to his profession.
We can hope that the glorious son of an
illustrious father - Dr. Hakim M. S. Roy (1925-1972), an eminent Hakim who
championed the cause of Unani Medicine in Kerala - will surely not stop with a
global award.
Though he is already positioned among the
world’s best Unani physicians, the people who love him and the patients who find
